Secretary Shen Meets with NRTA Director

Shen Xiaoming, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, met in Changsha with Cao Shumin, vice minister of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, and secretary of the CPC Leadership Group and director of the National Radio and Television Administration (NRTA), on August 14, 2023. 

Secretary Shen, on behalf of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the Hunan Provincial People"s Government, welcomed Cao and her entourage and extended gratitude for NRTA"s long-term support for Hunan"s development. Shen mentioned that, Hunan is making all-out efforts to make the "Three Hubs and Four New Missions" blueprint drawn by President Xi Jinping into realization. Hunan is planning and carrying out a batch of landmark projects, including building Changsha into a global R&D center, and empowering cultural creation and film and television industries based on science and technology development. Hunan"s radio and television industry boasts solid foundation and notable superiority. He hoped that NRTA will continue to give great support to the construction of 5G key laboratory and related fields, and authorize more pilot projects to Hunan. Hunan is committed to making significant contributions to the high-quality development of the radio and television industry of the country and will spare no effort in doing so.

Cao spoke highly of the achievements that Hunan has made in radio and television industry in recent years. She noted that Hunan has achieved effective progresses in recent years, which give full expression to the revolutionary, innovative, and pioneer genes of the Hunanese. NRTA will as always support Hunan"s radio and television industry development, and take this opportunity to study and summarize Hunan"s experiences in media integration and digital video sectors, to provide insights and references for the similar business around the country in their effort to make transformation and upgrading.

During her stay in Hunan, Cao also visited the Malanshan Video Cultural and Creative Industrial Park, Hunan Broadcasting System (HBS) Program Production Base, Mango TV Smart Exhibition Hall, and Changsha University, to conduct surveys on the high-quality development of radio and television and online audio and visual services in the new era.

Provincial leaders Xie Weijiang, Yang Haodong, and Qin Guowen attended meetings or surveys.
